Welcome to the AdaM Project
Unlocking the mysteries of the brain requires monitoring brain activity, across intricate networks, with high spatial resolution (i.e. subcellular level). The AdaM (Adaptive Mesoscope) project, led by Dr. Laura Maddalena (MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow) in the Optical Approaches to Brain Function Lab at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova, and supervised by Dr. Tommaso Fellin, pioneers advanced optical imaging technologies. By integrating adaptive optics into two-photon mesoscopy, our team aims to reveal brain activity across multiple regions with enhanced resolution even deep within tissue. Through this innovation, AdaM empowers researchers to explore how cellular ensembles, distributed over large areas, drive complex behaviors, pushing the boundaries of neuroscience and neurophotonics.
